I'm getting back in to a new build after about 2 year away from CA and am looking for some suggestions.

I have a budget of ~$500 for the subs (new or used).

I am looking for a combination of SQ ans SPL. The sub amp will be a Nine.1 and I have ~6 cu/ft of net volume for the subs.

I am willing to do do any combination of sizes as long as they are matched.

IE. 1-6 8", 1-6 10", 1-4 12", 1-2 15", 1 18" sub.

Let me know what you guys thinks.

2 hifonics brutus 15s, 3" coil and under 100 dollars shipper per woofer. Would save you some cash and they'd both take the 9.1 together just fine.
X2 - im getting them as well. But they only need 2 cubes sealed a piece or 4 cubes ported a piece. They are 700 RMS and 1400Max. Great Looking. Look at the soundstream subs too

ok, so the AQ SDC2.5' look interesting. It looks like I can get 4 of these new for close to my budget.

as far a an xxx.... I would love to try one but they are pricey.

any other suggestions.

Same...my friend runs a pair of SDC 2.5's on a pair of AQ 1200D's strapped and its god awful loud in his Pathfinder, with subs up and port back.
Good, solid subs...//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif
How did he manage to do that? They only come in D4, unless he strapped them at 1 ohm //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/eek.gif.771b7a90cf45cabdc554ff1121c21c4a.gif

Yes, Wired the pair to 1 ohm and runs 0.5ohm per amp daily. Doesn't seem to have any problems with over-heating or anything, amps stay cool and it slams.

In a 45Hz boz playing Tones 45, he's hit a 151.6 on the termlab.. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/eek.gif.771b7a90cf45cabdc554ff1121c21c4a.gif

Nice, I ran my 2200 @ .5 for about a month, took that shit like a champ.

That must be loud //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif

Ok, doing some basic calculations I can fit 4 AQ SDC2.5 10" or 3 12".

Now the next question would be... what would you do in this scenario.

3 12's @ 1.5 ohm load or 4 10's @ 2 ohm load...

knowing that I can keep a "static" amount of power to the amp. (as I have an entire overhauled electrical system in my car that will support far more current then needed.)

then why dont u run the 4 10's at .5 ohm? itll rise much farther than that anyway.....
