looking for SQ 8"

Thanks, I would love to use a JL Audio 8W7, but I dont have the room. I've been tossing back and forth between the Image Dynamics ID8, the JL Audio 8W3V3, and the Polk Audio MOMO 8", but I'm going to check on the others that you mentioned too. I just dont need to woffer that NEEDS 500 watts, I would really not like to exceed 350 watts. Ive heard that the Pioneer Premier shallow mount 8" performs very well, has anyone else have an opinion on them. Yes, I know that I already had one, and I really appreciate it, but it's kinda like going to the doctor, you always want a second, or third or...you get my point, opinion...LOL

Check out Ascendant Audio 8's. They sound great and still have plenty of spl too. I only have experience with the older version, but the new ones should be even better.

i hear the E8 is a really impresive 8 inch sub...isnt that spendy either.... 65 bucks right now.... their 200 watts RMS.... so it should be easy to get these things moving without really exceeding 350watts....right around your range lol

The 8W7 is a great sounding little bugger. Too bad it's insanely deep and pretty expensive. Other than those things it's a really good performing 8" subwoofer.

The IDQ 8" is another one that sounds really good.

And as mentioned, there's a sale on the Sundown 8's. I've only heard them in SPL'ish setups so I can't comment on their SQ. There's a guy over on DIYMA that has nothing but rave things to say about the 8" that Jake sent him.

For SQ, you may want to consider a SS82 from critical mass, or a DLS OA8, the E8 is very nice for the price point as well, I love my pair that is running IB right now.

I donno which one it was...it was tested a LONG time ago in the great 8 challenge. Shitty build, good performance.

Definately not. It's got to be larger. Based on comparisons of my E8's vs the ID8v3's.

I've got a spare eD 9kv2 dvc 4 ohm I'll let you have for $60 shipped to your door. Another $15 I'll throw in a sealed enclosure made for it. Very small...0.35 cube. Takes 200 rms and 400 peak. Let me know.
