Looking for pics or plans for a space saving sub box for 08 VW Beetle to house 1 10 or 12 or maybe a few 8s. It cant take up the entire hatch as I have to carry stuff in there for work on a daily basis.

I have not decided on sub/s yet as I wanted to get the box design sum what figured out first.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Can you post some pics? Is there a spare tire in there? Wanna keep it?//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/naughty.gif.94359f346c0f1259df8038d60b41863e.gif

What do you use the hatch area for now? do you use the sides, center, or all of it?

SPL,

There is a spare tire in there but I dont need to keep it. I dont have any pics but will try to take some tomorrow and get some measurements. I have to carry products for work in the hatch but can keep some room for a box. I had a big ported box in there before which took up pretty much all the room but I have to carry more crap now so I have to get something smaller.

I was looking at maybe doing a Epic 10 or 12 since they can run in pretty small areas. Thoughts on those?

I have been researching how to free form a box off to one of the sides or in the spare location and doing a false floor. But, not sure how to know the exact volume of a free form fiberglass. Any help there?

I can tell you I am not going to buy a pre fab box from MTX or JL because I have a problem spending $4-700 on a box.

Had to dig deep for these pics. Do something like this but shallower and less flashy. My buddy Justin loved it when it was all finished. Calculating cu ft can be as easy as filling your enclosure with packing nuts. Measure out a cube (cardboard box that is 12x12x12) fill it with packing nuts, and pour them into the area. get as close as you can for cu ft as you can, then tune out the excess. I can calc tune for yah when that time comes. Ask Qs about any of the pics:
