looking for some subs

Hertz hx series subs, if u can find a well taken care of used set, would be my reccomendation. I've owned many many many subs, and it still surprises me how good my hx300d sounds to this day. I can honestly say that this single speaker has rejuvenated my love of bass. Clean, accurate, articulated bass.

Thanks for all the help everyone, it's greatly appreciated. But I just have one more question. When looking at some of these subs, they have a range of enclosure volumes, for example, the Dcon's range according to SSA's website is .5-.75 cu.ft. So when building an enclosure do you want be be as close to .5 cu.ft. as possible? Or do you want to be on the bigger end of the spectrum? Or does it not really matter, just as long as it is somewhere in that range?

Still not doing ported huh?
Unfortunately no, I would really like to, but for what I'm trying to do with them in my trunk I just don't have enough space. Maybe one day when I don't have to worry about lugging all my stuff from home to college and visa versa.

Ahhhh I see. You'll still be impressed by the Dcons.
