Honestly you will prob be better off with two or three 8's, get plenty loud just easier for getting behind the seats
Are you going to get a prefab box or make one/have one built?

But who makes a shallow anything worth a damn? Im just saying 3 good 8s is an option, well i guess it depends on what style cab he has really. For singles and under or behind the rear seats the 8s would work. But not the f150, ram, titan under seat facing up crap, which is a decent possibility since there all popular trucksdont matter shallow or not 10s still have more cone area..but still need to know how deep he can go
this can be speaker dependent a pair of sa8s on 1k will get louder than a pair of memphis shallows on 1k due to the fact that the sa8 can excurt enough to surpass the shallows air displacement. not to mention motor force can come into play as welldont matter shallow or not 10s still have more cone area..but still need to know how deep he can go
Thats what i was thinking, i had a shallow MTX and it was no bueno lolthis can be speaker dependent a pair of sa8s on 1k will get louder than a pair of memphis shallows on 1k due to the fact that the sa8 can excurt enough to surpass the shallows air displacement. not to mention motor force can come into play as wellthink about it most shallows have 7-10mm of xmax while some 8s can easily double that not to mention a sub like the sa8 can have three sometimes 4 times the motor force.
but op the best shallows currently available are the alpine shallow and the stereo integrity bm but the chances of finding one is slim even used. the stereo integrity currently hold the title as the best shallow u can possibly buy.
critical mass also makes a good shallow.
but we really need to know more about your car and current audio setup to give any real advice
i actually had good luck with the shallow mtxs but they didnt like power at all i had 300w going to 2 and they are rated for like 400 a piece.Thats what i was thinking, i had a shallow MTX and it was no bueno lol
