On the ppi amp the obsidians may work better. I haven't ran them myself they wouldn't take anything is throw at them The xfl subs I have installed a lot and they get busy. Especially in the box design I have on 3000 rms for a pair

What would be the best amp to put on Two XFL 12's? And, do you have any advice on building a bigger box for my current 12's? Or should I save my money for an upgrade? If building a box will make a big difference then I may hold off on purchasing a new system until I get my bonus in the fall. Current Setup is Two Kick 10c124's in a 2.5^ Sealed with a Pioneer GM- 5500T. They sound decent right now but they don't drop at all, they sound terrible on deep bass. Maybe it's the amp, I try to hook up the amp bridged and it goes into protection. I was hoping a box would satisfy me =)

A correctly built box can make a big difference as far as amp. A vfl 150.1 saz 2500 or aq 3500 would be nice in the xfl subs

I can fit (2) of these in my trunk as well, but if you think 12's are a better choice then I'll stick with that route

Well, after pondering all of the information last night and this morning I've decided that I'm going with the Two Obsidian 12's and the PPI BK1800.1D Amplifier. Now that I've got that figured out I just need to find a box or build one.

Thanks for all of you're help guys, I would be well on my way down the Kicker road had I not posted here. Thank goodness for helping hands!

i myself am an certified and verified prefab hater but after owning a mobile sound works box i can attest to them being constructed well and being decently designed.

if it says 4 cubes at 32 hertz its going to be very close to those specs.

if you where going to be cheap or didnt have the time to build a box i would suggest the mobile sound works box sealed or ported.
