Where did you get the dc prices. Just curious. Because they are way off for new subs The xfl 12 is $195 shipped btw

Would I need to build 2 of these If I decided to go with the Two Obsidian 12's? Since I primarily listen to rap and low the deep bass, is the 34hz tuning in the video recommended? If it should be lower, how would I adjust the port in this video to make it a lower hz value? This is probably asking alot

One box 2 subs. Shared chamber at 33 hertz will bd fine

Actually I do at home on my sub box sheet. I don't do sketch up very well tho. Gotta realize. I'm a old school guy. I still draw everything up on paper and keep the designs for later

I'm thinking If I build a 4.5-5^ft vented enclosure tuned to 33 hz, maybe down the road I might upgrade to the American Bass Subs since I'll already have a good amp to push them, shoot I might change my mind before I actually order the Obsidians and end up buying the American Bass XFL's lol. I think I could build a box to support both brands of woofer? Am i correct?

The xfl subs need 4^3 at 33 hertz for a pair that's what that box is. Sounded very nice. Was built for a member here

Edit..Nevermind...I just realized you posted a picture of a box. That box looks nice. If I build that exact box, and I decided to go the cheaper route...the Obsidians, would that box be ok for the Obsidians as well?

Probably there is a cheaper American bass sub to. It really just depends in what you want here and the power you'll be running

Just read your post above...That's the problem, I'm not sure what I want now. I was so certain in the beginning of this thread, now I'm not so sure. I like both brands, I don't know which would be better for the money? You tell me, you're the pro, lol

That design btw is to small. Not 2.2^3 Not deep enough

Do you have a box design that would work for the 2 American Base XFL1244's tuned to 33hz? I'm pretty sure I can build it. In the meanwhile...I was going to ask you how much of a difference it would make if I built a new box for the 2 Kicker 10C124 that I have currently set up in my trunk? Right now I would say that each sub has about 1.25^ft per chamber. It's Sealed and divided. I was going to play around with some MDF I have and build a 5-6^ft shared Sealed box. Will this be a waste of time? Or will it be worth the $50 in mdf?
