looking for new setup...help please

im looking to get some stuff for my wifes car when i came across this website so decided to ask for help.

budget is ~ $1000...id rather not go over but will if i absolutely have to.

old system was 2 sony xplod subs hooked up to 2 sony 760w amps...IMO it sounded good cuz it was loud. but i want her's to be better and from what i get from a friend what i had was shit....his opinion, not mine. i asked him what are some good brands to look at he named: JL, JBL, and Orion. im not asking what the top brand is, i know different brands do different things. i just want a system that she can enjoy and a little thump.

either way id like to upgrade. her car is a 2004 Honda Civic coupe

i was looking at getting:

1 JL 12W6V2

1 JL 500/1

i think all 4 speakers inside are 6.5 so id fit those with infinity speakers...i wanted to do everything myself so i wanted to stay away from component but if its worth it overall i'll go ahead and get those all around.

my other question is will i have to have a capacitor or one an optima battery for the back?? never used either before but i dont want to short anything out if thats gonna be a problem.

anything else i need to include let me know.

no you do not need a cap, but an optima id get if her batt was just about shot.

does she have a head unit? if not theres another 200 buck

ive never heard of those subs but they look nice...i'll have to add those in consideration.

about the front and back speakers i know its a little extra money but are the infinity speakers much better than the RF speakers in clarity?

she has the factory unit but i was told that if i get an amp for the inside speakers then i dont need to replace the head unit...is that not right?
