Looking for Info

It has been over 6 years since I have looked into buying anything Audio wise for my Car. So I have no idea on what is good anymore. So any help would be great. Right now I am leaning towards the Alpine 7893 HU. I have no idea on what to get for the speakers... planing on 6.5's in the Door and thinking 6x9's in the back to start. Dont have the cash for an Amp or Sub at this time. Which speaker brands are good which should I stay away from?

You should just go all alpine. You can get there 6.5 Type-R comps for the and the Type-R 6x9's. They both sound really good even with just low power.

agreed....also makes it easy to upgrade later on if u get some comps for up front...goodluck

Thank you for the info. Tho I am changing my mind about the HU since the 7893 does not do MP3's even tho the website says it does. Now looking at the 7894-97, all depends on which one I can get at the better price.
