Looking for ideas on 18's in a truck bed cut thru

Anyone seen or have any ideas for designs on two 18's cut thru or perhaps even 4 18's , never really seen anything for 18's maybe cuz of the highth standing up ? anyway thanx

i would guess probably something like a 4th order or so subs up port forward kinda thing..depends how much heigth you have for the cut through..

yeah its gonna have to be some kind of a bandpass type enclosure i would figure subs up port forward..i am no design expert but the idea seems to be right..

I was even thinking of leaning the 18's backward a little (until they cleared heigth) was really thinkn about 4 of them tho . .

a single pair would possibly do mounting depth might get you some..i would just be really hard with 18's ya know..

do a 4th order... however 16" H and 18" subs down exactly work. 15" prolly wont fit either. best bet is probably 12's....

why no sub up port forward this is a serious question i dont work on trucks like this..

Certainly you can fit more than 16" in height...what truck do you have?

if he does 15's he could do sub forward port forward..

but problem is he has 16" and you loose 1.5" for your box so he's down to 14.5. most sub cut outs are 13 and 7/8 for 15's. however 4 15's in a 4th order should atleast be double baffled but i reckon he could get away with some really good interior bracing i suppose

and IMO the sub would be firing to close to the bed cover. and it probably wouldnt sound to good. like kind of hard to explain i just dont see it working to good in my head

That depends on how much you're willing to cut.

one of the members on here did a walk-through in his ranger with four 18's in a 4th order bandpass.

I sat in it a few weeks ago....it's stupid loud, lol

15s with a blow-through

18s if you do a walk-through
