im currently in process of building a system for my GTI around this Arc Audio KS 900.6 amplifier. im planning on using 2 of the KS 600.6 6.5in component sets which are 4ohm with 2 8in (havent decided on between dual 2 or 4ohm yet more about that later) arc series subwoofers. ive read some great reviews on this amplifier which was a major deciding factor for when i finally have the funds to begin purchasing all the items i need.. i want to be able to get the most from this amp that i can. i have been out of the car audio game for past 10years and for that i have forgotten alot of things and now see that so much has changed in the industry. my HU that im planning on using is goin to be an Eclipse cd7200 mkII, as eclipse is the only HU's i have ever bought my 1st one being the 5303r almost 12 years ago.
Sorry if it seems like im rambling ill get to the point. i see in the specifications that the 900.6 can achieve
Power output RMS @ 4 ohms 4 x 60 watts
Power output RMS @ 2 ohms 4 x 100 watts
Power output RMS @ 4 ohms (Sub Channels only) 2 x 155 watts
Power output bridged @ 4 ohms 2x120 watts 2 x 120 watts
Power output bridged @ 4 ohms (Sub Channels only) 1 x 550 watts
i would like to be able to get the 4x100@2ohm on both front and rears and still be able to fade and balance. the subs i want to be able to also get the max out the amp so want to be able to get the 1x550@4ohm to the 2 8in subs which i think i may use the dual 4ohm 8in subs in series( if this sounds wrong let me know lol like i said before ive forgotten lots of things) from what i see in its PDF file on the arc audio site its 4ohm stable sub output.
all that being said im just confused on how i would go bout wiring the speakers into the amp to get these numbers and still be able to retain the fade and balance in the system
