looking for good midrange/midbass

i have kick panels in my car with diamond components. i have the alum tweeter so the highs are a bit on the harsh side but still clear. im looking for a set of components that have good midrange/midbass. i dont want to spend more than about 750-800 im not looking to going to horns, but i could go 3 way(currently no speakers in doors). what do you guys suggest i get?

everything i like rap hip-hop r&b jazz metal emo ect. so the speaker have to be clean while playing everything and i love my music loud so low distortion

Those hex's are great speakers. I woud run an adire koda 8 or koda 6 in the door with lots of deadening. Great midbass.

yeah i like the hex but i think its time to upgrade the sound or at least buy new tweeters. i want silk for sure. would you suggest i get a new 3 way system or stick with 2 and get midbasses?

Anyways....you wanna go DIY active (piece together the drivers yourself and use an active xover), or do you wanna stick using "factory builts" with a passive xover?

Image Dynamics CXS64 have an awsome midrange, very punchy. If you're just looking for the midrange drivers indtead of the complete set with tweeters, then get the CX64. these speakers are known to work well off axis as well as kick panel installations.
