Looking for good 4"

I need help on getting some good 4" speakers for my fronts,

anyone know of some good speakers?

i was thinking the alpine type s series, but i want some more output before i purchase, thanks

woofersetc has mb quartz coax's under 100 and some fosgates.

yeah, i was looking to cuz a bigger hole, but i dont think 51/4 would fit, because there is a seperate grille that goes ontop of the speaker instead of the whole door panel,

unless i wanted to bypass the speaker grille? but i dont think i want to do that

if i do bypass the stock grill, then how do i make it look nice, flush, and not see the inside of the door panel

its a 95 toyota tercel if that helps,

would i have to do a fiverglass project or baffle or something of the sort if i wanted to bypass the grille and go 6.5"?

not many good brands sell 4". but ive come down to kicker, alpine, jbl, and polk audio, which do you guys suggest, or any other semi inexpensive speakers?

I'm looking for the same thing, though I don't think I'd go active. Probably a component set.

I only have room for a 4" in the door with a tweeter in the sail.

Underneath the front seats are 8" woofers but I don't know if it would be worth it to replace those. It would be nice to do a 3 way setup but I'd imagine the seats would block out most of the midbass.

Anyway, I was thinking of rainbows and wondered if anybody has used those?

where can you get 4" component sets? not many sites have alot of choices, and i wanna get a good front stage, so ill go component if i can find come not so pricey but good components

if you can find a set of Rockford Fosgate RFR-1404 you'll love them, they get loud as hell and still very clean and can take about 100wrms, i have 2 pairs that im looking to maybe reinstate in my front stage. that i just love the sound they put out. just have to fabricate something to have them in my car. but they sound great. and you can even hear the midbass of like 80Hz pretty clean with decent output with out distortion.
