Looking for Double Din / Touch screen Radio for Grand cherokee

Guys ok Im stuck on what to do.... I found out that two decks are pretty much Identical accept you can use APPs with one and connect your android or Iphone with more access. Other than that teh decks have the same features n options... What do you guys think or what would you do if you had the money to buy one... I mean there is a big difference in price.

Pioneer AVH-X5700BHS VS Pioneer AVH-4000NEX

That is the question for all ... Lemme know what you think guys

well the 5700BHS is NEX Software. just doesnt have the apps u can download and ****, and doesnt connect to the iphone or andriod like the 4000NEX.

I have a Android so I would need the connectivity kit to connect to the 4000NEX

Here is a list of APPS it offers for Android Apps | Pioneer Electronics USA

I really dont know what apps I would use really besides GPS just not sure. I can get the 5700BHS for $340 and the 4000NEX for $507

4000 nex is for iphone 4100nex is for android but its not out yet. just get the 5700 no point in the nex in your case.

It does let you connect of course but its geared towards apple car play. Unless the new firmware update lets you have adroid auto? I havnt looked into the updates so dont know but when i got my 8000nex it only had apple car play.
Gotcha, Well is it worth getting the 4100NEX? LIke do you really use all them apps and stuff???

Homestly only app id use is the maps and pandora. Other than that i didnt care for anything else. So for me, no not worth the money. If i had the moeny and didnt care yea screw it why not. But if i was on a budget nehh id go bhs

4100NEX will have a firmware update to enable Android Auto. Your phone also needs to run Android 5.0 Lollipop. Not a lot of phones have that software yet, but of course all the new high end Android phones coming soon will have it. My HTC One M8 got the Lollipop update last week.

I know about that, Im just wondering if it is wroth getting the 41000 over the BHS ..... Im not sure if I would use all those apps and all when I can just use my phone... its abig difference in price and jUst cant figure out what to do

5700BHS with AppRadioOne allows you to run maps on the head unit. 4100NEX gives you the choice of Waze, which is nice, or iGo Primo, which is also very nice. 4100NEX can work with an app to let you enter text on the screen, while 5700BHS does not have that option. Your local laws about the use of a cell phone in a moving vehicle need to be considered. Where I live I see people holding a phone up to their ear and not a single care is given by local law enforcement. In other places that will get you a ticket, or maybe more.

In terms of other major features, NEX adds an SD card slot, detachable face plate, FLAC lossless audio, and dual USB. For my personal use I strongly value the SD card slot option, the FLAC decoding and dual USB.

thanks trumpet yes I do know that the bhs doesnt have SD Slot with I do like. Im just wondering if I would use all the apps n such. Dual usb is a cool feature too, And the HDMI port. I could run movies off my phone or USB or SD. Ughhh I guess Im gunna go with the NEX! I just dk, big price difference really and for what a few extra APPS, SD card slot and dual usb? Hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm
