Looking for Double Din / Touch screen Radio for Grand cherokee

I think Im going to stick with the NEX 4000 Pioneer. Now Its Just about choosing speakers for the front doors and those stupid 3.5" in the dash!

Ignore the 3.5"s in dash. Just do a component set and mount the tweeter up there to reflect off windshield or just domt use that spit at all.

The dash speakers are shot, they are cracking when I play them loud so I need to replace them. They ****

But you dont HAVE to put speakers there its fine if you just remove them and put something new in the doors only

Yeah I am going with 6.5" in the door, since they are originally 6x9. I am gunna get a baffle for 6.5 and use a comp set. Just would like to use 3.5" in the dash for more sound hehehe.

I found a guy on my jeep thread he put the Tweeeters in the plastic part that covers the side mirrors bolts n nuts. looks clean.

Just stick to a common 2 way set dont complicate yourself anymore than needed. Chances are you probably wont even tell the difference if you did

Yea if you have a big enough sail panel you can perfectly mount tweeters on there nice and flush. Or you can do the botl and nut thing. I personally just use the sail panel and would drill a hole there.

that ID set is a nice set was thinking of running them myself, i really like my jbl ms62c set in my truck, also ran the ID xs65 set and those were nice but new theyre above your budget. id get that ID set or find something around$200 and get an amp as running off HU isnt really best if your looking at a comp set and especially if your looking for SQ. maybe a jl c5-650 set idk if you can find them local to you as retail is stupid expensive but here in LA stores sell them for $270

Gotcha gotcha, yah think I may have to run this JVC amp I have in my camaro thats sitting hahaha. Just dont feel like taking apart the jeep and running th **** power cable and rcas.. uhhhhhhh

4 gauge and rcas will easily tuck under the door sills and stuff. if you arent running that much power you might even be able to use 8 gauge ofc

Nah 4 gauge defff. Rcas I just gotta figure out which to use. I have some monsters here in the room, but not sure if they long enough or if they are better ones out there. These are from 8 years ago. So Im sure there are better out there. what do you recommend?

Based on your budget, I would look at the Pioneer AVH series at Sonicelectronix (and other non-Crutchfield sites).

Then filter down by features (bluetooth? HD radio?, etc)

Well I got the speakers off the guy for a good price. the IDs so Ima run those. Run the amp I have for now. And I guess figure out if I want to replace the **** rear speakers too.

As far as getting 3.5" dash speakers what do you think? I dont need something spectacular those also are mid range stock

I homestly wouldnt bother with those dash speakers waste of time and money. Just get rid of them
