Like the Hifonics idea as well. Save some money and you will be fine with that amp to push those 2 12's.
Hell, I am going to be using a 2608d Hifonics Brutus amp on my 2 10" Premier 250spl subs, but my subs are 2-ohm, so only going to get 1700rms, which even if it is overrated some, will be right where I need to be.
