My aqs were loud but didn't really have the lows and didn't sound to good. I'd go with SSD's, type-rs, sa 10s.

Ok, but there could be a lot of reasons why the aqs didn't get low, especially if your tuned them to 38 hz or whatever they recommend.

exactly, I tuned my sdc2.5's to 32 and they got low and loud

I've had both an HDC310 & 18. I tuned to the 10 to 30 hz, and it got low. The 18 was in a pwk box, and it got low. I was always waiting for it to bottom out but it never did.
