Looking for advice on 12 inch Fi Q

Hiya folks!

Currently I am sporting a 12 inch Type R with 700 watts on tap. While it can certainly throw down some loud bass, as most folks know it doesn't sound all that musical doing it.

So, I am looking for a more SQL type sub. Loud and musical.

I have had my eye on the 12 inch Fi Q. I am looking for a single sub, as I don't want to eat up all the space in my Trunk. Probably in a 2.2 cu ft enclosure tuned to about 34 or 35 Hz.

I will probably upgrade my amp (and wiring) at the same time. Looking at around 1000 to 1200 watts at 1 ohm. Can the Fi Q handle that, or should I consider the BP option? Perhaps look at a different driver all together? JL, eD?

So, in a nutshell:

How does the Fi Q compare to the Type R?

What should I expect with a solid 1000+ watts on tap?

How does it honestly compare to something like the JL 13w7 or eD 13av.2?

Q will take 1k if you're not clipping the signal or have bass boost cranked up. Not sure on the higher tuning though as I've never done higher then 32Hz with a Q.

I am trying to decide between Fi Q, AQ HDC or maybe the RE SX?

Any other awesome, yet reasonably priced 12" subs in this price class? Basically max of $300.

With 1200 to 1500 watts on tap, probably 2 to 2.5 cu ft ported box tuned to around 32 to 35Hz, what would YOU choose?

go for teh q man, I had two 15 with the bp power and they absolutely love the lows. I know they will be better than the sx, but haven't had any experience with the aq.

btw, the q is basically an upgraded sx, fyi..
