what does power handling have anything to do with comparison? the op said he has 1000 watts to play with which is enough for an L7...L7's handle more power then the Alpines so they are not comparable dude.

the OG poster was asking for a step-up from the R thats why the L7 came upL7's are not comparable until u can find me one that sells for $100. L7 is a great sub, noone is knocking that. but some of us realize that there is no point to spend that kind of money on a set up if we aren't competing.
