Looking for a single 15 that will outperform my 2 Type-R 12s

I have had the same problem with thinking that my two type r's weren't hitting low enough. After I raammatted my trunk and rear deck, the sound quality in my car was night and day. I wanted to upgrade to a 15 but now I decided not to cuz it was just my rattles that made it seem as though my subs weren't getting down low. Maybe you can try buying some sound deadener..just a thought
Rear deck and side panels are Dynamatted, as well as the entire trunk, including lid and tire well. Doors are deadened as well..

Build a box for 1 type r 12. and port it to 32hz. it will get plenty low. 1 sub in the correct amount of airspace> 2 subs in a tiny box.
PAGE 1 from me:

Better box........sub back port back.....2cu.....32hz(for the low)
Or rebuild that 2 12 box you got there.....3.5-4 cu @ 35hz

He didnt listen

And what Lakota said, ive never seen anything good from subs up in a trunk car.

Unless you have no space and just have to have more subs or what not.

But 2 12s should fit facing back(or forward) in just bout anything
