Looking for a new head unit, need some help

Just letting you know for future reference. The cord has a USB plug in. You can put it anywhere. you can just plug a phone sync cable into the other slot.
Hold on, I'm getting a little confused here, what cord are you referring to? also is the prs compatible with android music? Thanks for helping me out with this I appreciate it.

Pretty sure most pioneers are almost the same as far as connecting devices. I don't have the 80prs, nor do I need it, but I have a pioneer and I can connect 6 devices without doing much:

1. Up to 3 device bluetooth memory

2. 2 connected via USB (allows 2 rear usb connections)

3. 1 aux connection

Btw I think rear usb is better because you never mess with the port and it won't break. If something happens to the cord, you just swap it.

get something with a digital cross over, and 3 pairs of rca outputs one for front, rear, and sub. alpine and pioneer are your best bet. the alpine HU are mind blowing. your gna have to spend some money if you want the good stuff. unless you get a pioneer deh150mp for 60 dollars with one pair of rca outputs for sub only. I just ordered one, its going in my zip zap. tiny Toyota corolla

Also, Kenwoods are you usually feature rich for less than comparable Pioneers and Alpines. I've heard mixed opinions on them though...it may be the case that they're adding a sh*t load of features to compensate for lack of quality, but some people love them. There's also this thing, which is supposed to be pretty good:

http://www.amazon.com/Clarion-CZ702-Vehicle-Digital-Receiver/dp/B006WVXA0I/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1434429447&sr=8-1&keywords=clarion+cz702&pebp=1434429449200&perid=C20925C20CE74001A639

It looks really plain, but Clarions have been known to have pretty good decks.

Okay so I've been looking around and I think I've narrowed it down to 3 HUs: pioneer DEH-X8700BH, alpine CDE-154BT, and the CDE-153BT. So out of those which do you guys think would be the best to get? Are there other units that are better for the same price that I just haven't found? Thanks for all the help!

Looks like 154BT has superior x-over section to the pioneer with 24db/oct option. Though I've heard that some alpines put out less voltage than advertised (as in less than 4v at max volume even), but I've never owned one.

What is better? Having a better crossover or higher preout voltage? Also, how do you like the DEH-X9500BHS? I'm debating whether or not the extra USB port is worth the $50

Can't go wrong with pioneer, I like mine, but I also don't use its crossovers. 24db/oct allows for greater versatility, but generally speaking you won't be disappointed with either I think. I do have 2 rear USB connections and use both. 1 for memory stick, the other for phone/charging. However, the unit only comes with 1 USB cable from Pioneer. The 2nd one is mine and as soon as I connect the phone, I get insanely loud buzzing noise. I've gone through 2 different cables, both shielded, but noise persists. If you're focused on sound, I'd skip the additional USB connection. Also, if you don't care too much for integrated phone functions, I'd skip installing the mic as well...more potential to introduce noise to the system.

Oh ****, I didn't even think about looking on amazon for this stuff, I might have to jump on that, thanks for letting me know! And thanks for the heads up about the mic, I was on the fence of whether or not I should install it if I got a HU with one, but now I don't think I'm going to be doing that.

EDIT: gotgixers, that deal from Amazon almost seems too good to be true, is it really the same thing that is on pioneer's or crutchfield's website? The fact that it is $100 difference is a little insane to me.

Crutchfield is usually more expensive by a good margin.
