im running my system off a stock head unit. upgrading to an alpine head unit, will that make a big difference in sound?

depending on the alpine unit you should have more control over your bass freq you send your amp. and are you running just your factory speakers?

okay. and yes, suprisingly they're doing well. i blew the bass on the factory speakers but the vocals and highs all that you can hear perfectly

let me put it this way.... if your in a car with no system, you still get to turn up the bass on the stock speakers right?! well if i were to shut off my system, i wouldnt hear any bass from my stock speakers, i guess thats what i blew

It should be a big difference... If you are running your stock highs and you have a stock amp running to them, your system will sound worse until you amp the highs with an aftermarket amp.

next step would be an amp and some comps and you'll be set...
