Looking for a good 10in, 720RMS possible, comparable to SA-8s

I have a small scion Xa and was going to get 2 SA-8s ported in it. I am having trouble getting a box big enough to fit in my trunk for two of these ported. If I can't, my only other option is to get a 10 inch in a larger ported enclosure like 1.5 cube.

I am more into sound quality. I do want a hard hit, but that is not my main priority. I want clean, deep, rich base. I have a hatch back so I don't have a back seat that the sound needs to bust through. Before looking into Sa-8s, I was going to do an alpine Tye X, but was talked out of it on audio forums.

No more than 300$ for the sub.

What talked you out of the type x? i have one hooked up to a pdx1.600 and have been very impressed with it. Not claiming its the best just curious what people dislike about them.

i personally like the type x, but ive noticed that it is power hungry and needs a good amp to push it. that pdx 600 isnt enough for it to shine the 1000 would be better

Yes i know the 1000 would have been the better way to go but it was nearly twice as expensive and out of my budget. Ive been happy with the 600 but dont doubt it would be benefit from the extra power. So its just that its mainstream? no sound quality complaints or issues with them blowing etc?

Thats a bit high for what he is wanting. He is wanting a pure SQ setup.

Tuning would be best at around 30-34hz depending on your subwoofer.
