Looking for a component system for under $110

I have a 96 Silverado and the speakers aren't too good, so I need some new ones! 6.5" is the size. [What about 4x6" speakers for the back, too?]

What are the best component speakers for under $110? I'd like as much bass as possible from the system (without a subwoofer). Also, do I need to get an amp for component speakers?

It won't come with a factory cdt warranty, and its prolly been sitting in a warehouse for a couple years, but if you can pony up 40 more dollars this is a great set.

150 i can do a new set of cdt's with warranty .but you'll need anamp tomake any components sound good.stock deck power just isn't enough power

I have a used eclipse amp I'll let you have for $35.00 shipped. *40w x 4 @ 4ohm If you budget is 110 for speakers and an amp... I don't see how you can do better, but your also going to need an amp wiring kit...

Lol. you really should take him up on that offer @240Kid ;... he's practically giving it to you. And I can pretty much guarantee that any amp Eclipse makes is going to do better than rated power. They're fantastic.

edit: also keep in mind that pretty much every component set suggested to you here is going to be worth buying. Proper installation is the key. Install it half-assed, and you will be disappointed. Install it properly and you will be amazed. This will be true whether you spend $50 on a used set, or $5000 on a pair of the stuff dreams are made of.

I is a nice guy. Double checked that amp can do 60w x4 @ 2ohm or 40w x 4 @ 4ohm.

I is a nice guy. Double checked that amp can do 60w x4 @ 2ohm or 40w x 4 @ 4ohm.I bought it from another member and never even opened the box... lmao

oh, snap... 240kid, get it NOW, lol. I have that exact same amp on my kitchen table and I will keep it forever. I LOVE my old 3640. Here's a gut pic. It does WAY more than rated. My old system had coax's all around, and they were VERY loud, and perfectly clear, on that amp.

And if does get it and hook it up, bridged, to a pair of comps that are installed correctly... plainly put, he's gonna shit his pants. Because for less than 200, a pair of decent comps and that amp is going to sound like a heck of a lot more than what it cost.

Try Pioneer D-series components. The only one I can think of in this price range..
