looking for a 4000 watt amp

hey everyone, i just purchased 2 12'' RE Audio XXX series subs, and i was thinking of hooking them up to 2 power acoustik bamf 5500 series amplifiers but the guy at the shop closest to me said i should only have one amp instead of 2 but i can not afford a 4000 watt amp from his shop, and he told me that when i buy an amp for every doller i spend is 1 watt im getting power out of it.

so i have 2 questions,

1. is that true? will i only get 1 watt per doller i spend?

and 2. is there a 4000 watt rms @2 ohm amp out there for under a grand that will actually push 4000 watts?

does it have to be 2 ohms? first to thought would be an autotek 4000.1 or a stetsom 4k2d.

there's plenty of 4 kw amps out there or under a grand. most of them at 1 ohm but youll find what's best with the help of these guys around here.

well the autotek mm4000.1 is technically 2 mm2000.1's strapped inside 1 case so u can run 2 2000 amps mono at 1 ohm or u can bridge them which is technically strapping so u would run it at 2 ohms to get 4000 out of it.

what subs do u have? 2 dual 2 ohm subs? if so u want an amp that does its power at 2 ohm
