Looking for a 3 or 6 channel amp...

I need an amp to run a set of full range speakers ...

I have 3 tower speakers on my boat which each have a 4 ohm load...

So id like an amp that could do 400 - 450w /rms x 3 at 4ohm...

I found one:

SD6 l Wet Sounds Sinister Series Amplifiers

It's a bit too powerful @ 538w/rms x 3...

The speakers are rated at 300w/rms for 2 of them and 600rms for 1 of them...

Im wondering if I tuned properly if it would be ok...

why dont you just wire them together and find a 1 channel amp, if im calculating it correctly your final ohm load will be 1.34ohm

im pretty sure they are full range tower speakers. meaning he would need a full range amp to run them. the 600W rated one is probobly a sub tower speaker. finding a 4 channel amp that puts out 300/channel will be EXPENSIVE, but it can be done. you would just run the lower powered towers on chanels 1 and 2 and the higher powered tower on 3/4 bridged.

Then it wouldn't be a stereo signal. MONO = subs only.

That amp you linked will work fine. Just turn the gains down on the speakers with lower power handling. The only other amp I can think of that's marine rated is the Clarion XC6610, and with 3 pairs of bridged channels it's rated for 250W x 3 @ 4 ohms. It's underrated, but not by a huge amount.

I actually just realized the 6 channel i have in the boat now is EXACTLY what i need lol...

Bridge channel 1+2 and 3+4 and i get 200w/rms which is the rms of the pods (200rms / 400peak) and bridge 5/6 and i get 600wrms which is actually what was powering the middle tower speaker....

$899 though...

This amp is actually a water resistant version of the arc 900.6... doesnt someone else make a 900.6 identical amp?

So now i need to figure out if running the SD6 for $1200 and possibly damaging the Rev8 speakers is worth it, or go matching on the SYN6

If i do go SD6 road i can always just run channel 1 and 2 at 185watts/rms
