just get a 2ch, 2ohm stereo amplifier

an Arc xxk2500 for example is rated for 270 rms x2 @ 4 0hm, 525rms x2 @ 2ohm stereo, 1050 x1 @ 4ohm bridged- if its in your budget

ok - so whats the voice coil configuration? dual 4 ohm? or single 4 ohm? because this makes a big deal - and you do NOT want a 4 channel amp. your BEST bet, is a class D mono (1 channel) amp - that is, if they are single 4 ohm (2ohm), your cheapest bet would be a 2 channel amp ran bridged at 4ohms (if dual 4 ohm pair of speakers) but your only looking at around 400~500w

its duel 2 ohms. If i ran a 2 channel amp bridges, i could only hook up 1 sub correct? If not, my friend has an availible Hifonics Brutus 1600D that i could buy for cheap, could I use that? How can i hook up 2 subs to 1 amp?

The Hifonics would work fine. You can hook up any number of subs to one amp, provided you can get an acceptable ohm load. Mono means that all of the amps power is going to one channel, same thing with bridged 2 channel amps.

Kicker KX6001 would work as well, supply 300-350 per sub, class d, more effecient.
