LOOKING FOR 18" CF cone and/or cap for CHEAP

Thinking about getting a custom sub built up round xmas time for myself and I'd LOVE to have a carbon fiber cone on it (DD, AQ, PAP, Cadence, etc). I dont need any surround or full recones, just the CF cone and/or cap. Dont have $$$ at the moment but I'm just posting to get a feel of what's available here... Are you looking for a composite cone for a 3 inch coil? I have one for an 18 from a DD 9518.Can send a pic if you like?It is a red one.Never been repaired...no issues.

I just bought a pap 18" cone and it came with a high roll surround / multiple layer foam - not rubberand when I am comparing it to my re sx cone - the actual cone is larger - since the foam surround is taller to allow for more travel you can fit more cone area around where it would have been normal half roll surround.

more cone area is good right ?

I've used the PAP cones and I like them too. Look nice and are solid. Not as light as some, but whatever. Good product and good service from them.

More cone area is good, but keep in mind that some of the surround is generally "live" anyway, so with those big donut surrounds half or more is typically pumping air. Still I like the tall surrounds best myself.

well they use to make the MOAB which had 4" coil... I sent them an e-mail asking if they still had these cones in stock or if they could make one but i havent heard back from them yet. Well if your looking for 4" coil i cant help you, but if you need one for a 3" coil i can get you one of the yellow DD cones. Its from a 9918 i believe. Its the carbon fiber or kevlar cone i dont know what its called. It kinda looks more like the carbon fiber caps only its yellow. Good condition. If you decide you are interested shoot me a PM.

lol yea but they dont carry CF cones. They said they can get them but it will cost me alot and they dont see any benefit in cf. the benefit is they look sexy as fawk
