Lookin to run a new system

I've got about a $1500 budget, totally new system. I have a buddy who can build me any size box I want for about 300 bucks and he does a great job, really takes his time. The current system I have I can sell for around 800 bucks, I'm looking for something that really hits. The ma 1800XL I have now does about 146 on a meter, im looking for something that destroys that.

My goal is to be able to lift up hair haha. Anyone know approximately how loud ill have to get to be able to start doing that? I was looking at the Orion HCCA's, maybe 2 15's but I've been told those actually aren't that great of subs. despite upgrades I may have to do to my alternator/ add another battery, anyone have any suggestions for a system that I could do competitions with if I so wished? I'm really looking to make people's heads turn. I've heard things about Audioque, RE and I have been looking at DC Audio, but as far as I know they don't sell online and I'm looking to purchase whatever subs I do end up getting online.

Get Two of these in the Dual 2 ohm configuration and of whichever size you prefer

And then two of these strapped:

Upgrade the big three and a new alternator and this will destroy whatever you previously had.

You should be able to compete successfully, that is if your friend doesn't fail at box building. Remember, competing isn't about prettiest box, it's about the best overall design. Take your time and you should be fine.

Interesting, I've heard good things about Audioque. What do you mean by upgrade the big three?

And so looking at the parameters of the different size woofers they offer, I'm interested as to how both the 10 and the 18 can both have the same RMS and peak power rating? Not to sound noobish here but I'm sure I will anyway, doesn't such a high wattage 10 but a not so high wattage 18 mean the 10 is a better woofer? Granted I am aware that box size, how much pwoer each sub is getting and all that goes into contributing to the sound and all, but its normally the larger the sub the more wattage. Does all of those sizes each taking the same wattage mean they're going to produce around the same loudness?
