how do i think im better then everyone??? you guys sat here and criticized gmonk for his parents buying his car. i mentioned my parents bought my car and said my opinion.

hey im thankful for my parents, b/c i know a lot of ppl dont have that. doesnt make me better, where do i say im better.

i say i have good grades and i do good in AP, dont mean shit to be in AP, anyone can get in AP. i dont give a shit about that, im talking sarcasm here. it isnt much to do well in high school, its as long as you continue it through college and get a job.

only reason i brought up high school is b/c thats the reason my parents bought my car. (plus working with him)

and when im 21 ill still be in college, so no i wont be where you are. but after i graduate? hmmm.

I could care less that they bought his car. It's him being so spoiled that he gets gas, insurance, things in his car paid for by his father. Then also pays someone else to install everything which doesn't even educate him in this hobby that we all know and love. And to top it off, after 2 days of bumpin' at most, he ruins his equipment. Now I'm sure if G-Monk is actually paying to have his subs reconed, he'll atleast cough up another 50-60$ to have someone screw the new subs back into the enclosure. You don't say that you're better anywhere, but implying something through statements suggests that you think you're above people because you're in "advanced placement".

I can honestly say that it's good that you're going to college to better yourself. College is an eye opening experience and quite fun as well. Now, if you're not getting a scholarship, I bet your parents are paying for that as well. I mean, that's cool. College is a necessity in this day and age. My main target in this thread obviously wasn't you and it honestly still isn't, but for you to come in here and defend G-Monk while portraying that you have a similar lifestyle of being given things by your parents, it's hard for me to actually take what you have to say seriously.

I was a finance major. Your plan is a good one, but extremely difficult to get into IB.

naa i dont think im above anyone, doing good in high school doesnt mean jack. you can be valedictorian and not do well in life. until i do good in college i cant boast squat.

im humble in person, trust that, it doesnt take much to get into AP except a mediocre grade in honors and a teacher signature (they sign anyone) but to actuallly do good in those classes is something you should be proud of; not boast. so if i came off as boasting my bad.

miami is VERY expensive, if i dont get a good amount of scholarships i doubt my parents could afford it. i'd probably go to UF b/c it isnt private and i'd get more money in scholarships.

right now i know a girl who got a FULL RIDE minority scholarship to Miami and she is giving me info on it, so hopefully i can do the same.

now hey, i had my first box installed at a shop, but i turned it around, and got a new one, and watched them build it right there. now those guys are good friends and im promoting their new shop, im getting more and more into it, but by no means am i an installer and by no means do i want to be one.

i have similar lifestyle as gmonk, but it doesnt make me a bad person, or better then anyone else. my parents buy my gas, insurance, cell phone bill, all of that; but its not that i dont want to work, its he begs me not to get a job.

i had a dish washing job that he said if i quit, he'd pay me whatever they payed me without tax; i turned it down.

i know noone cares, but still, im just showing im not that spoiled type that you associate with g-monk. from what he says he is smart, maybe not in audio, but if he goes to college kudo's to him.

Edit for Kay: Ive been around, had, known more people who had, and worked on more big systems than you. It may sound like Im better than you, but thats because you talk so much on the internet, but when it comes to real life, are you even connected to car audio in any way? You talk about so many systems, give reviews and advice on so many subs/amps, and ways to be louder, but have you ever even heard or worked with the subs you've talked about? Have you ever competed at a real competition? Have you any idea about Termlabs... How to run one, how to score higher on one, etc? Im not trying to talk shit, just asking serious questions.

lol @ you. I inherited a home. Was it given to me for free? HELL no. The state reams you in the butt with taxes just so you can claim it. I started working when I was 14 for family up until 17. Once I was 17, I worked with my buddy helping lay foundation for homes. Now I work part time graveyard shift resorting packages for a distribution center that has morons working day and evening shift. I was never GIVEN anything. I still had to pay a good amount of money for this home unfortunately and it's sad to say that I don't even like it. I've put money into it for a while now and it's going to make me a lot more money than I paid for it.

Have you done anything constructive like that? Didn't think so. You ask if people want paper or plastic with their groceries.

Im in washington state, no competitions here. I give advice on setups I've been around or owned. When I give advice that I'm unsure about, I say that I'm unsure. If I'm only going off what I've read from other people, I only pass that information on if it's from a reliable source such as someone with first hand experience with that equipment. No, I'm not connected to car audio currently because I don't have a system installed. Yes, I did purchase things for one, but quickly changed my mind because I can't justify spending that much for a system when I don't even drive that much. That's why I'm buying a new plasma television and home theater system.

Never ran a termlab. Been around one once or twice. How to score higher on one? Are you serious? You test, test, test with different scenarios. Simple things such as sub/port direction, seats up or tilted back, visors up or down. Certain tones of course are going to have a better or worse number than others obviously too. I mean, if you're going to try and question me, atleast ask me things that aren't common sense here. Oh wait, all you know about car audio is common sense answers.

surprised no one said it already, but i will... daddy probably bought her too. as far as xclusiv an his good grades, they dont mean shit. i have mainted a 3.2 my whole high school career, i went to a private college prepatory school. our school has the highest ACT score in our parish, and rank in the top 10. i scored a 26 on my ACT. my parents bought me a car, an $11k car. was i grateful, yes. do i pay gas an insurance. yes. now that i totaled my car, im paying off my moms car an taking it. all these rich ****s need to ban together an:*******: your selves. bc you all will never amount to anything. an its a known fact, people who are handed everything in life, dont appreciate anything. they expect to be treated like they deserve it all. im still ****in shocked that we never saw GMonks *** on My Super Sweet 16 cryin to daddy like all the other rich *****es on that show. Also, i have decided that my kid will have a decent used car when he turns 16, if he graduates high school with good grades an gets a decent amount of money for a scholarship, then i will by him a new car. after that he will be on his own, but there is no way im going to spend more than 20k on a new car. parents have to set bounderies, or they will never get anyplace in life.
