Actually no. I'll spoil my son because he's a baby right now, but once he gets a bit older, I'll provide him with what he NEEDS. Once he's old enough to get a job, he pays for what he wants.
It teaches self discipline, work ethic and will make him a better person. He won't be a bum who mooches off of people.

my dad bought my first car, and second car when the first one broke. i now have a 3rd car, that i pay for myself, and i still have the one he bought me. just cuase he bought me those 2 cars and my insurance, doesnt mean i expect any more cars....

if your kid gets straight A's all the way through 10th grade, and then only gets 1 in a hard honors class, you dont feel they deserve a reward????
and i ALSO said i worked with my dad at our motel....since i could walk (not literally) i was helping him with what i could. im 17 almost 18 now, figure a good 12 years of work there....and you dont think that deserves a reward??

then again im the last child....but that doesnt matter as much.

now my parents didnt buy anything audio wise. all that was saved money and working with my dad after i got the car. i used to sell cds to get money, and sure enough it made me a lot of money.

i dont go up to my dad and say "oh can i have 50 bucks for this, 50 for that" no i dont do that.

my parents are just willing to help me, and my brothers.

my brother just had a car problems so my mom is going to pay his insurance, so what he's spoiled now b/c he couldnt cut it and make enough to cover all of that???

i didnt just go to my dad and say "give me that 30K car"

no **** that, he said when he sold our motel he'd buy me a car, and since he doesnt want to sell it for a couple more years, he decided to get me one now.

my dad is completely against all of my audio upgrades, so im not getting shit from him.

i work with my dad in daytona, shit during spring break in daytona i'd skip school just to help my 60year old dad from busting his *** all day cleaning rooms; and guess what i still got those grades (with NO effort).

no one on here knows me, but to say i havent busted my *** is false. you clean 16 rooms in 3-4hours going up and down stairs carrying shit during spring break (when its SUPER dirty) and tell me it isnt hard. i've done my share of work, and i do stuff around the house.

my parents reward me now for my good grades so they know one day ill go to college and then come back and take care of them.

Most children have to assist their families for whatever reason. I run my parent's portfolio, which is a wee bit more difficult than cleaning a room. I made excellent grades in high school and college (which I also funded). My parents graciously let me stay at home while I worked an internship that paid very little. I help around the house and they provide me a place to stay. A roof over my head is all the reward I need.

You are absolutely retarded. The grades aren't for the parents, It's for the kids themselves. Good grades = good college = good education and probably a good salary. What do the parents get? Oh yeah, nothing except that their kids aren't mooching off of them anymore.

If anything, I'll buy my son a 1k car and HELP him restore it. If he wants to buy a second car, he can purchase it on his own. I swear to God that people like you and G-Monk make me sick. So what that you got good grades? Parents are legally obligated to get their kids enrolled in school. What the child chooses to do is their own choice. It's pathetic that you're getting paid for something that is ultimately just helping yourself and no one else.

Unlike Xclusive or whatever his name is, if my son wrecked his ride due to his own stupidity.....He'd either pay for a new car, pay to have the car fixed or ride a bike to where ever he needs to go. I knew a kid that @ 16 had a toyota supra. Wrecked it 9 times and every time his parents bought him new rims, new tires, new body kit, repaint the vehicle, yada yada yada. He was an arrogant piece of shyt because he acted as if he was better than everyone. G-Monk is the same way.

the way my parents see it, by motivating me to do good in school, they know ill get into a good college, and make money, so when they are older i can take care of them the same way the did it for me. this may not be everyones perspective, but its mine.

yes i wrecked my car, but insurance is a lovely thing. we paid $250 deductible and thats it.

Im not going to lie, Im flat out broke now, and the rest of my money is going to the recones. Ill be frying the rest of the subs at the show this weekend, since I need to recone all to as different VC config.
