Little subs with BIG sound

Thanks Noloud for the offer but I think I'm gonna stick with the x-8. I have considered the 2508sc several times on this build and others but I keep coming back to the fact the basket is stamped and that's a big turn off for this guy. I do like that DD subs are made in the good old U S of A but I'm sure I'll be more than pleased with the x-8 I've heard nothing but good things. I'll post something here in a few weeks when I start putting the temp interior and audio in the mini.

Id run a singe 10..XFL DVC4 in 2.4@32htz,and throw a VFL mini hybrid AB 4480.1d on it@2ohms.Thatll slamm its azz off if you have the power for it..My 2 cents

I don't know everything but I'm with noloud4u on this 1. I really like the sundown X8 but the DD SW2508 would be my choice between the 2. Not saying anything negative about the X8, it is a nice sub and impressive for an 8" and if I found a deal and wanted 8's then hey. but..... The SW2508 would be my first choice, the X8 maybe would fall as choice 2

Sorry guys I read that post to fast and just read 2508 the SW numbers do look good and I've always wanted to try them out but wtf were they thinking with that surround. I know it has it's benefits but it makes it look like some thing you could buy at walmart that's just my two cents. If it had the standard style surround the DD's would be coming home with me. But like I sad earlier this project is a year or so off and I just wanted to get everyone's opinion and hell DD might change the surround but not likely.

That surround does what Sundowns mega roll does but instead of losing cone area it gets more. It's not just a ridge it's diffent densitiy.

The ridges are what ruined it for me. I do like the classic surround look better then the x8 surround, it is a bit crazy but with a motor that big it's kind of a must I do like the look of the new surround on the new SA8v3.

I didn't like it at first but I dug until I understood why. Then I ordered one. I personally like my subs to play the entire bass bandwidth.

CT sounds meso 8's crossed my mind also. I'm kind of gun shy with the 8's because I've nvr really messed with them before always 10's and larger. This being a project I've had in mind for a few years, just had to find the boat. Plus two 8's under the bow adds a little more wow factor I think.

Mine should be home tomorrow. I'll give you what I really think when I touch it. I can say 1 in 1.25 cubes on 750 watts of American bass power smoked 2 higher end pioneer 12s in a legit box

I like how some ppl say the x-10 will be louder some say the two 8's is this because the x8 hasn't yet become very common. I've heard the ct sounds meso is a monster to but that's just talk and we all know how that goes.
