I have a zxs1500.1, which does 1500wrms @ 2ohms. Or does it? Anyway I was wondering wat kind of power cud I expect at 1ohm? I think I cud get 27-3000wrms out of it. I want to power 2 HDS's which are rated 1200wrms so if I cud get 24-2500w I'd b plenty happy. So will this zxs1500 at 1ohm be better than a Q2200d at .5ohm? I already have the kicker, advantage there....but I'll giv it to my lady, if need be.

Everywhere I looked said it wasn't 1 ohm stable, but you already know that. Be careful, you'll probably blow a fuse or fry something if you try and crank too much out of it

U kno if there's any thing I cud do help stabilize it? Larger wiring, more fusing, etc.

From what I understand these Kickers don't like 1 ohm. Be very careful, I would suggest getting a new amp. You will save money in the long run.

Larger wire would definitely help, also make sure its as short as possible. Not sure about your specific amp. On my amp that was 2 ohm stable, you just have to clip a few resistors and upgrade the fusing. Ceck around and see if anybody has modded your amp. When running at a lower than stock impedance, the amp will most likely get hot. If the amp is in your trunk, I suggest putting A LOT of fans on it. If you're looking to get almost double the power out of this amp, I'm not sure how long it will last. Even if everything is done correctly, there is no guarantee. Don't just upgrade your fuses and run a lower impedance. Don't bypass the fusing either... lol

I've heard lots of things about kicker amps not liking low impedance...

kickers dont like 1 ohm... they are underrated at 2ohm, my kx2500 did 2960... but to answer your question no that kicker wont touch the q2200 at .05, or 1Ω.... but i am very interested in that amp if your looking to off, or i got some subs that would really shine on it... if your interested...

Yea I was try'n to save $5-600 but....I'm an addict. I guess I'll jus get HDS2's then, for now.

1 HDS3 vs 2 HDS2, any opinion?
