Protection light flickers when voltage drops but doesnt quit playing or shut off

Wondering if this is a big problem or normal. Kicker ZX750.1 wired to 1.3 ohms if i try to turn my radio up my voltage drops around 2-3 Volts and my protection light flickers on and off.

Helpful things when i start my truck my voltage starts at like quarter the way on the meter and then builds up from there.

What kind of cost effective (cheap) ways to regulate my voltage would yall recommend?

Here's the breakdown. The amp is 2ohm stable, so you have it wired down too low already. Remember, power = voltage x current. At a lower voltage, you need a lot more current to supply the same power, thus putting additional strain on your amp. Which subs do you have and what is their voice coil configuration? How do you have them wired to get 1.3ohms?

i would recommend an amp that is 1ohm stable. its flashing the protect light because its under the recommended impedance and is not getting enough current. something has to give sometime.

I know i need a amp that is one ohm stable really soon, but correct me if im wrong if a amp isnt getting enough current and then it works harder overheats and poof

I don't necessarily think it has to get super hot before you blow it. So you have 4 single 4ohm voice coil subs, is that correct? You can have those wired at 4 ohms or 1ohm. You have them down to 1? If so, I say rewire to 4 ohms and see how it sounds. If it's not enough, you can try and get another zx750.1 and run each at 2 ohms, which would be perfect. If they're strappable, even better.

Ya i was thinking about hooking up to four ohms but then im only giving 100rms to each sub and then u try to turn up the gain and bass boost bass lvl on your radio etc, then clipping then blown subwoofers

Yea, but keep in mind you're already at a disadvantage because your amp and possible sub VC configurations don't match up. If you keep running it at 1ohm, you risk blowing the amp. If you rewire at 4ohm, at least the amp will be fine. If not, you can either get a 1ohm stable amp or add one more zx750.1. You'll then be running everything at 2ohm, which increases the damping factor (the ability of the amp to control the subwoofer) and will probably sound better.
