i always wondered why ppl mount amps to the box. it just makes it an easy steal for those punk theives. plus it's usually a longer run for ground.

because its convenient for people who aren't glassing there trunk in and don't want to build an amp rack. basically the only time you see it is when its just a box in the middle of the trunk.

i had those same subs but the 12's never listened to them tho turned around and sold them. curious to see how it sounds.

-Hifonics ZXI6006 (had) pushes 600RMS @ 4ohms. Ill be running at two, so we'll see what happens. I may have to buy a different amp.

-4awg wiring kit from knukonceptz ($26)

-Pioneer DEH P3000IB ($90)

-stock speakers (they are pretty **** nice though, i was surprised)

total spent was right around $175
