Line Output Converter Help

Usually I get an aftermarket head unit but this time I am going to keep the factory HU. What I was wondering if I could tap into the rear speakers and put that into a LOC. Will this work? Will it effect the SQ by doing this.

After tapping in, how do I split the signal? Is there a crossover where I can just input the one set of RCAs and it split the signal in two (or better, three) signals to go to the amp.
