Line Out Converter Question

Hey yall im a real noob to this stuff and im going be putting in a stere it consists of a se 12 and a 800 watt amp well im going to be using a LOC and im sure i dont need it but do you have to run a power and ground wire or is it all taken care of through the LOC

Yes you need a Power and Ground for the amp, the LOC is just for the signal that goes through the RCA cables.

so then i just come off the front batter just like in any other install right?

Are you asking if the LOC needs power and ground? If so then no. All you need to connect are the speaker wire leads. It should also come with a ground wire but you shouldnt have to use it.

yeah i knew that already i was just asking if the amp still needed to have a power wire ran to it from the battery in the car to the back

you think a 4 gauge power and ground would be ok with a mtx 801D amp?

yea that should be fine
