line out converter problem

I put a line out converter on my friend's ford ranger, and for some reason static comes from the factory speakers now. I am using it to hook a a mono amp, so I only tapped into the left rear speaker. And for some reason all the speaker static when the balance and fade is on zero. When i move the fade to the front it stops staticing because no power is going to the rear speakers, but the woofers stop working because the amp is not getting a rca signal.

Does anyone know how to fix this?

Is it staticing beacuse i only tapped into one speaker? //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/confused.gif.e820e0216602db4765798ac39d28caa9.gif

please help me

might be a bad converter. Try a different one, return the old on to the store you bought it at and tell them that it makes the speakers fuzzy. Make them give you a new one.

For some reason, it sounds like the converter is making the internal HU amp drop in ohms, which it probably doesn't support real well, hence the static.

Shouldn't be staticy because of the only one speaker thing. Could be a bad component though.

ya but i took the line out converter completely off and it still staticed. And i also had that line out converter on my s10 and it worked fine, so i dont think any thing is wrong with it.
