line out converter installation help

I want to install a LOC to a factory HU for an amp and sub addition. Iv read that you tap into the rear speakers to install the LOC, but how does the sub wire into all this? Thanks for any assistance you can provide.

The sub doesn't wire to the LOC.

The LOC converts speaker-wire signal (high level) to RCA cable (low-level) signal.

The RCAs connect between the LOC and the amplifier.

The sub or subs wire directly to the amp and do not connect to the LOC whatsoever.

this reminds me i was installing one of these in my moms car but i never got it to work the ground that is on it is a body ground right ??
