Line Driver vs New Deck

I have a DNX7100 which feature wise has suited me fine, but SQ wise blows. I run it into an H600 to give me some decent sound, but the 2v preouts on the 7100 aren't enough to escape the hiss of the h600.

So my question is, would I be better off spending ~100 for a decent line driver for before the h701 or just upgrading to the DNX8120 (Excelon series so 5v preout and some extra SQ goodies)

IMO, less componets involved then less of a chance of noise

Save yourself the trouble and upgrade the HU. As said above, less components to deal with, and therefore less chance of interference. Almost never hurts to upgrade your HU.

That is pretty much what I thought as well, but spending $100 sounded so much better than spending $1000
