Line driver question......

I'm starting to hook up my system and I need some advice.....

My head unit is 4 volt preamp. My amp (MB Quart 4125) has a max voltage of 6 volts. If I install my line driver (PG TLD22) I'm guessing I won't be able to run it at 8 volts because my amp can only "handle" 6 volt max? So I would have to set my level on my line driver at 6?

thats the one thing i hate about maxxsonics amps is that 9 volt input i always have to turn the gain way up to get anything out of them

The head unit only puts out that 8v rating when the volume knob is turned all the way up, way past reasonable levels of distortion. When listening normally, you won't see anywhere near that voltage. You will be fine.
