Line driver or not?

I am using my standard deck in my 2005 Volvo S40. Should I get a line driver to help my output?
Would there be enough advantage to spend $60shipped for one?
A bit off topic, but I'll throw it in anyway...

I used to mess with this chicken head back in the day, she was from Burlington...//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/crazy.gif.c13912c32de98515d3142759a824dae7.gif

A stock deck with an LOC? The voltage from the LOC should be on the high side of the typical aftermarket HU. No reason to mess with the LOC.

Depends if the standard deck is highlevel or lowlevel out, ie does your car have a stock amp? My stock hu had low level outs going to a stock amp and was too low and I needed a line driver to maximize my aftermarket amp. If its high level (speaker level) the line driver would probably fry or be completely pointless. Hope that helps
