So i have a 2005 Chevy trailblazer with the Bose system and ive wanted to install my system out of my wrecked truck.. it's an infinity kappa one amp and a Memphis c3 15" sub. I installe a scosche slc4 converter today and the system and it sounds great but for some weird reason the bass doesn't change with the volume adjustment. I can turn the volume one notch up and it sounds like the volume should be halfway up or more. I have messed with the gain on both the converter and the amp and just can't get it sorted out. I am so frustrated and hate asking for help but I'm out of options. If it helps, I wired the converter to the front door speakers at the back of the HU. Any help is greatly appreciated!

I am pretty sure both BOSE systems require you to grab signal after the OEM amp, the luxury BOSE, or which ever is higher, uses fiber optics....IIRC

Common places for factory amp are underneath the passenger seat, behind the glove box and in your case with a trailblazer possibly behind some panel in the rear compartment. Usually you can google it and get a location. As far as where you grabbed from the back, just electrical tape up the bare wire, no big deal unless you cut the signal wires, in which case your going to need to reconnect them

i replaced the head unit, ran new speaker wire back to the factory Bose amp location, and used the HU to power the interior speakers, incorporating a passive crossover for the front components. this was step one.

amp interface used a terminal strip since we were adding an amp soon after (he drove from Cali to Illinois, this was for the return trip). all connections soldered.

mounted.

we also ran power wire and remote for the amp. my brother-in-law later dropped an xtant 403a behind this panel to power the front speakers and a 10" sub. i'll have to find pics. amp went in the jack location. totally stealth.
