limited mounting depth suggestions

What 10" sub with a 5 9/16 or LESS mounting depth really pounds? My cvr's arent loud enough. Ive checked out the sundown sd1 which is 4.5" mounting depth but its also rated at 400rms like the kicker. What other subs are out there that meet these specs?

Don't forget the 1" clearance for the pole vent and the fact that the surround sticks out quite a bit requiring a good amount of clearance in front as well.

Just realize that a powerful sub is going to need a good sized motor and that is going to require some depth with a conventional design. You could look at some of the slim mount subs but I wouldn't count on them getting much louder than your CVRs and they will cost more as well. Power handling does not equal output either.

In a perfect world I would like a sq sub that gets plenty loud. But I guess I would prefer sq since i got some pretty good comps, i want the subs to compliment them.

uhh the box i have is a prefab dual 10, i could measure and see if im able to enlarge the hole to mount a 12. Im open to sugeestions, are there any shallow 12s?

Add some polyfill to that box, i bet its not even close to rec specs

are you using the pdx 1000.1 to run them? if so the sudowns would be fine.

i have no idea what the box specs are. but before i loaded the subs, i sealed the inner joints and i added polyfill. I agree that its probably not close to rec. specs.

yeah its the pdx1000. I might sell it though and pick up a 1000watt sundown.
