i have like 3 different "light up" switches i have done through, there is a 12v, ground, and load.
or supply, load, ground.
supply = 12v
load = wire from remote on, on amp.
groud = ground
with all my switches i have gotten the light when its switched on, and no light when it's switched off, sounds like you are wired wrong...
impedance doesn't have a factor in this, the amp either turns on or off with a 12v load on the remote terminal. as long as the switch is grounded properly, the light should come on, when it is in the "on" position.
it's a wiring problem, not a amp problem.
