Also, my 4 year warranty is not worth the paper its written on. I physically have to take the TV to an authorized service center...200 miles away for me...and if they find any dust or anything inside the set, its not covered under warranty. Also, they tell you to clean the fan off on occasion but the way to do that is you have to take the whole rear panel off. If they see any evidence that you took the back panel off....warranty is void...so its nearly impossible to get them to cover anything under the warranty

No Vizios are sold at a lot of places and is not Wal-Mart's brand. Their electronics brand is Duraband. Vizio is its own company contrary to popular belief (Most people think they are owned by LG or Samsung).

To the OP..... If your looking at projection TV's go with a Sony SXRD. Much better then DLP.

i've got a 36" panasonic CRT style tv in my sons room that i've had for 11 years and it runs at least 18 hours a day...he sleeps with it on, it stays on even when he is not in his room etc.

Wow, things have changed since I made a significant TV purchase (it has been a while). Samsung used to be known as a complete POS.

Then again, Clarion used to be known as a real POS HU.

You'll be a lot happier with a sony. Samsung's black levels are terrible in ALL of their TV's and if its not HD it looks like shit on a Samsung. Go to a store and compare.

lol...samsung is definately in the top 3 as far as mass production tv's go..maybe number 1 in the DLP game. If i could afford it...i'd do a pioneer elite plasma, but i can't...i have about a 2k budget

I am watching a 12 year old sony now. My parents have one in one of the bedrooms that is 23 years old.

Don't enjoy them too much...

Will be useless pretty soon...
