does anyone know if memphis makes some kind of adapter where you can connect two amps to make them look like one single amp? i dont mean like wiring wise, just connecting them cosmetically.

Yup, or at least they used to. I have seen many installs with 2 x 1000D's connected together end to end. I beleive the thing just clips on and also wires everything up.

For the old Studio line and the original M-Class line, I know they made trim plates like that. I don't think they make them for the new ones.
