A couple months ago, our Nextel plan ran out and we were going to switch carriers, or upgrade and sign another 2 year contract. Well, my dad didnt; like the prices that Nextel offered, but called to see what kind of deal he could get. The guy that he talked to pretty much hooked us up, like a 30% discount on all of our plans (4 phones), and this many extra minuted free, etc. My dad got the whole conversation with the Nextel guy on tape. Well, when the bill finally arrived for the first month, some of the discounts wernt taked off. My dad called and got it somewhat straightened out. The next bill came and the discounts still wernt taken off. My dad called today and talked to some kind of Nextel accountant, which pretty much said that Nextel was not going to honor the plan he agreed to and was only going to give us 15% off, which is adding another $100 to our bill every month. What really confused my dad was that the guy said the tape would not hold up in court. Is that true or is that just a scare tactic? He has the guy (with his company number, name, etc.) on tape saying he will get this, and this, and this taken off, and this discount as well added on. Is the Nextel guy legit?

Did the Nextel representative who had his conversation with your father recorded AGREE to have it recorded? does he STATE he agrees, on tape?

I can advise you a a ex-nextel employee that the employee is in the wrong not nextel. As the employee promised you that he would do something and did not I would get ahold of a corporate manager, Threaten to cancel contract. If you threaten them with cancelling you will get whatever you need from them I gurantee it. However trying to take them to court over a employe's lie will most likely get you no where. Good Luck Nextel Sucks @ss!

idk my dad said he was gonna drop nextel, then the nextel guy was like "then you'll owe us $800. $200 pre phone."

Yeah but compare $200 Per Phone = $800 / Your service for 2 more years = WAY MORE THAN $800....Take my word!! A corporate manager CAN and WILL make it right. Blow shit up there *** threaten them with cancelling act as if money is no object! They will give you your way!

What discounts did they offer you?

All I know is that where I work, you can eat an entire cake, bring back the container and tell them the cake was disgusting and you get a full refund.

not sure of the exact discounts. it was like 20% off the entire phone bill for the first 2 years, then an additional 10% off for the entire time that we own those plans. Plus, over 100 free anytime minutes per phone per month. Might not be exact numbers, but it was pretty good discount. Like I said, with the 'new' discount they want to give us, he will be paying over $100 more per month.

lol...Can't tell ya bro! To make things short I have a good memory! //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif
