learned to drive with two feet...

Ive driven/owned cars with the semi manual thing where you take it out of drive and tap the gear shift and it switches... Those usually work really slow or not well at all. My dads GTI has that and it workd decently well.
And paddle shifters are a pain in the ***. Too hard to reach them when turning if they are attached to the steering column. And if they are attached to the wheel itself, when its turned a bunch of ways and you're trying to shift because you're driving fast through some turns its hard to remember which is which, because the shift up may be on the left side depending on how far the wheel is turned.

Both kinda ****. Id either just get a regular manual or an auto. Really only true advantage to a manual is it gets better gas mileage.
the only car ive driven that has a steptronic auto manual shifting that works flawlessly is the 335i. it rev matches downshifts with barely any movement so you get the downshift with out that big jump you get in most cars

try learning to drive a manual with a '69 GM truck, drum no power brakes, cable operated clutch, no power steering, 3 speed on the column, and a big block under the hood. Talk about a pain. Cant steer unless vehicle is in motion, lol. And once it gets going, dont try to stop it.

i remember when i was like 14 i got a yamaha blaster 6 speed and i must have stalled that thing out 30+ times getting use to it. Id either stall it out or stand it straight up and ride a wheelie lol

I kinda know how to drive a stick...I REALLY **** at it when sober, but I had to move my friend's car once (we were in his yard cause he lives in the country and go all over the place) and I drove it perfectly drunk as hell.

Truth is I just never got the chance to drive a stick other than his Honda a few times...my parents didn't have one when I was learning to drive so I just stuck with auto. I hear they get annoying in the city after awhile. Oh well.

I've gotten two chances to drive a manual. Once in a Probe, and another in a Cougar*FWD, so, a nother probe*. I guess you could count my dad's '83 Dodge Ram with no power steering, but I got it into second gear, maybe, trying to move it. The probe I mastered once I got going. A lot of stalling trying to reverse out of my driveway with it. The Cougar had a clutch that bit, almost stalled just shifting a couple times.

The only time I hate stick is downtown Seattle on the hills. Business men will be in there Mercedes a foot away from me and I'm facing up on a steep incline waiting for the light to turn green. It's a little scary

1st and probably only time I may agree with you. They are pointless, unless it is a ferrarii or however you spell that god dam word.

I have owned over 20 vech's in my day and I say about 17 of them were stick.
