learned to drive with two feet...

Yeah, definately handy. Been tons of times Ive had to drive peoples cars to places for them because they couldnt (drunk/sick/away/etc) and noone else knew how to, so its definately something everyone should know how to do, or at least be good enough to drive a car if it came to it.

I didnt learn until I was like 16-17... The car I was getting just happened to have a manual so I got it and learned. Wasnt that hard. Just drove around a small neighborhood for like 45 mins. Then moved up to residential streets. Then when I was comfortable I started driving on bigger roads. Within 2-3 days you should have it totally down.

What annoys me is when someone gets a car and the first question a person asks is "is it a stick"? Or if someone has a sports car and people say its worthless unless its a manual. Who cares? It all does the same thing. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/fyi.gif.9f1f679348da7204ce960cfc74bca8e0.gif

the car i have now is the first car i have owned that is an auto, although it is a "sport auto" so i can shift it as well in a way

i still drive with my left hand on the wheel and my right hand down on the shifter though even in auto mode

you buy a sports car to enjoy the experience and to become one with the car. although an auto sports car isnt worthless it might as well be

i was attempting to learn but i'm 6'3 and in my buddy's ranger my feet were like in teh dash and it was hard as hell to hold the clutch.
Im 6'5 without shoes on and I tried to drive my buddys 62 Beetle.... No go on that one. The gearshift was literally under my right *** cheek and I couldnt get my foot on the clutch since the steering wheel was in the way.

My Mustang was easy as hell though. Surprisingly smooth and a comfortable ride too.

And yes, the girl that taught my was hot as ****, so that helps also, like mentioned.

Ive driven/owned cars with the semi manual thing where you take it out of drive and tap the gear shift and it switches... Those usually work really slow or not well at all. My dads GTI has that and it workd decently well.

And paddle shifters are a pain in the ***. Too hard to reach them when turning if they are attached to the steering column. And if they are attached to the wheel itself, when its turned a bunch of ways and you're trying to shift because you're driving fast through some turns its hard to remember which is which, because the shift up may be on the left side depending on how far the wheel is turned.

Both kinda ****. Id either just get a regular manual or an auto. Really only true advantage to a manual is it gets better gas mileage.
